Contraindications:

Cancer: Do not use PBM on any known malignant lesion unless: 1. For pain relief during terminal stages of the disease, but only with permission from your doctor. 2. For side effects of cancer therapy (e.g., oral mucositis, radiation dermatitis, etc.), but only with permission from your doctor.

Pregnancy: There is no evidence of harm to the fetus, but there is also no evidence of safety, so for medicolegal reasons, we recommend not treating directly over the developing fetus.

Tattoos: Treatment over a tattoo with higher irradiance settings may cause discomfort as the ink absorbs light energy and heats up. This is less likely with LEDs in the irradiance range of the Mitogen Mk1.5 Pod than with lasers, but we will mention it nonetheless.
